Building a new home is exciting, and not something most people do every day - so we’re here to guide you through the process, and make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Our friendly team around the country would love to chat about what you’re looking to do, your site or future site and your preferred design, and align this with the budget and timeline you have in mind.
We’ll help check your chosen EasyBuild home design is right for your site
Once you have a site, we’ll complete a site visit to check your chosen EasyBuild design is a good fit, and to assess site specific requirements.
Your local EasyBuild Preferred Builder will provide you with a Full Build Proposal/Estimate specific to your site requirements
Our team provide a Full Build Proposal/Estimate that covers your chosen home design and your selected specifications, such as cladding, whether you’d like a verandah, decking, attached garage etc. If you don’t have a local EasyBuild Preferred Builder and you’ve employed your own local builder to complete your build, this is the time they’ll give you an estimate, and we’re happy to support them throughout the build process too.
We’ll bring your new home vision to life with a plan of your design on your site
The scheme plan will cover optimal placement of your new home on your site, with a 3D exterior view, elevations and site specific services required. It will also consider any local authority rules.
Once you’re ready to proceed, contract documents will be prepared and signed
When you’re ready to kick things off, we’ll prepare contract documents and share them with you to sign. All EasyBuild Preferred Builders are Registered Master Builders, meaning you have access to a Master Build 10-Year Guarantee, giving you added peace of mind for your build.
We’ll prepare your working drawings and consent documentation
The next step is for us to prepare your working drawings and consent documentation. These will be submitted to your local council for approval. A real benefit of building with EasyBuild is that all of our designs have national MBIE MultiProof pre-approval, which makes the consent process twice as fast and costs you less.
Your local council grants your consent
Because we have national MBIE MultiProof pre-approval on all of our designs, our consents typically take 10 working days with your local council.
Your pack is constructed at our Masterton based factory
Once we’ve received your consent, our factory gets the green light to start construction of your house pack.
Work begins preparing your site and foundations
Now that your consent has been received, work can begin preparing your site and getting your foundations started.
Your house pack is delivered and on-site assembly begins
Your prefabricated house pack will arrive to your site in a container, it contains everything needed to close-in your house and get started on the interior.
Council inspections take place at key milestones throughout your build
As with any building project, council inspections take place at key milestones throughout the build process. We’ll manage these routine checks for you.
Finishings, appliances, plumbing fittings and kitchen are delivered
Additional deliveries to help finish off your home will arrive at your site. This includes roofing, cladding, your kitchen, kitchen appliances and bathroom fittings.
Final touches are made to complete your home
In the final stages, plumbing, electrical and finishings like painting and flooring will be completed, along with a final council inspection for Code Compliance.
